Here is an "orange" Dial a Matic from about 1975 dressed up for Halloween. The art teacher in my school, Mrs. Weiss, wheeled it down to my classroom all ready for trick-or-treat. I was very surprised! She rescued it from the trash much to the chagrin of her husband who could not believe that she would do such a thing. Now instead of going to a landfill, it will live on in my collection. This is one model that I do not have. Can you imagine going trick or treating but instead of candy they gave away vacuums???? Kelli...you are the best!

Divine. orange(red), just in time for halloween, and its a model you dont have! if they gave vacuums for trick or treating, is there any guarantee they WOULDNT be eureka bravos and bagless bissells?

I plugged it in tonight and it works great...just needs an agitator belt. It is serial number 344,000+ so it is a late one and it has the "square" Hoover plug.

I am happy to add it to my collection...

No I could not leave it in my classroom...it was too much of a distraction. Instead it is a great Halloween decoration here. I am planning on putting it outside during trick or treat when we pass out candy. I wonder what kind of reactions I will get?

HAHA!

I will have to leave mine outside while I pass out candy! My Kirby Omega, that is, if I have it finished by then. I will have to come up with some "arms" for the vacuum to hold the bowl while I monitor the kids to make sure they get the correct "dosage" of candy.
