Hi there, is it just me or when we were younger did we just love hand vacs? For their size?
I used to love them, and save up for the new handheld cleaner that just came out. I had loads when I was younger, maybe it was because I thought they were cute. I still have a few, but I only use this one:

I used to have quite a few hand and stick vacs, I think I got a lot of them because they were smaller and didn't take up as much space as uprights and canisters. My mom still has quite a few pictures of me when I was really little with carpet sweepers and stick vacs in the background. I didn't start collecting uprights until I was 4 or 5.

I used to use my Dirt Devil hand vac (like yours but two speed and North American plug+110V motor, of course)for the stairs but I normally use my Eureka SurfaceMax canister for that now. The Dirt Devil is sitting in the garage with the attachment hose attached and I only use it occasionally for cleaning up the garage.

I always liked those because of the bag that blew up in the back like a Sanitaire or Elite would. But I never had one of these Dirt Devils...

I used to realllly love hand vacuums, and yes, because of their size!
I used to take a whole day and vacuum an entire room with my little Royal hand vac.
