Hey
So royal hand vacuums I have a few.
Kirby I have vacuette. I have Douglas busy bee. Douglas makes a redi vac identical to the vacuette except it's speed switch on the side. It stops brush roll and 2 other settings.
The reading vac takes disposable bags.
So is vacuum good to add to collection.
Second would bags fit busy bee and vacuette?
Thanks
Les

Les,

Oh, yes... the Douglas division of Scott Fetzer actually did make several versions of that hand vacuum you mentioned under different names. Besides the "ReadiVac," the "Aardvac" and the Kirby "Vacuette," they also made two different models for Sears (the Kenmore "Klean n' Vac" and the Craftsman "Powermate"), and also one for Oreck for sale to that company's dealers.

Here's a link to a picture of them:

Douglas also made a version for Oreck. AFAIK all of the machines are similar, although I remember the Kenmore version having some kind of variable speed control.

Oh I remember the Kenmore Klean N Vac version. It had that brush only setting so you could brush in the Capture Cleaning powder, then vacuum it up. I always wanted one. I did see one in the box in a thrift store years ago but left it. They had a headlight too, but the Craftsman Powermate did not. Although I just learned the Craftsman had attachments that the Kenmore didn't.

Hey

Thanks for all input I plan to get all similar vacuums. I just won't buy ardvark from eBay.
I have Douglas busy bee which is exactly like ardvark except it's yellow. The busy bee cae with box and great condition. The eBay seller I asked lower price $60.00. they said shipping is way too much. I messaged back ya the flat rate $12 box is outrageous. I'm not buying
