That looks like a wonderful machine at a good price. The original cord is there as is the original bag. Note the straight handle. The machine was built at the same factory as the GE and Premier vacuums - the nameplate gives it away. I don't have a Graybar upright - sure wish I did. Stan Kann had one but no one knows what happened to it after he died.
 
These vacuums were originally invented and designed for billiards table cleaning, so they did not need much of anything. Once they found their way into home life, they started getting fancier with multi speed motors, brushrolls, etc. I don't think I have seen any older than the 1920's.
