Got the Brush Out, but I might need a new spring

So I got the brush out, but I bent one of the springs too hard. The springs were literally stuck, and I had to get a screw driver and get them unstuck. I did not realize there was a tiny clip that holds them in. So I pushed one of them so hard up, to the point where it bent. The other spring did not bend, and automatically attached to the clip. But the bent spring barely attaches. How do I fix this? The brush is a little loose on that side where the spring is bent.

The springs were literally frozen stuck, so I had to bend them. I over did it. I wonder if I can put new springs on. These springs are old and rusted. I did use the machine, and the motor is very slow. It sounds nothing like even a Sanitaire 641. It sounds very different. I will make a video of it, once I get a new Vibra Groomer Brush, as this one is all worn out.

If the disposable F&G bag is new and empty, it won't puff up for the first couple of uses.

Not sure where you could get replacement springs to secure the brush roll. Maybe someone has a pair lying around? It would not cost much to mail them to you in a protective envelope. Any collectors willing to donate to our friend in Phoenix?

I live in El Paso. I have that name because I am hoping to move to Phoenix in early 2016, once I am done with college.

The brush does not rattle, but moved a little. It was snug before I tried to get the brush out. Now, that side of the brush moves a little. I took a picture and I'll show you.

It was never bent like that, but this was my first time dealing with a machine with these springs. And I could not see it attached because of the dirt that covered it. I wonder how I can fix this. It looks so old, so I might replace the spring.

shim it tight or bend the spring back. I'd shim like Constellation86 did, no risk of breaking the spring that way.
