Long story short, I was going to buy a "really good" corded stick vac, then saw a picture of the red Sebo Felix 2 somewhere. What a swanky looking vac!!! It seemed to be my holy grail combo of smallish, well made, maneuverable and not too heavy. I came here, did some reading, watched some youtube videos and was sold.
The store I went to didn't have the correct red/grey squares exhaust wrap on it - they had swapped it with the stripes and hearts version which I didn't like. The guy gave me my choice of any wrap so I could take it home today and he's mailing me the correct one this week, so I got a free exhaust wrap! I chose the black and sparkly silver dot wrap that is usually on the black model, pic below.
I took it for a drive around the house.....I love this thing already! He gave me a great tip for vacuuming stairs: Lay the vac completely flat at the bottom of the stairs while using the long hose and wand, that way it won't tip over. Included in the $700 price was a box of bags and a kit with the parquet head, a long hose, wand, upholstery brush and an adapter that makes other vacuum accessories fit. I also got the 10 year warranty instead of the 5/7 that I was expecting.
Never in my life did I think I'd spend $700 on a vacuum, but I have ZERO regrets. Thanks for the always helpful knowledge and opinions here!
