Long story short, I was going to buy a "really good" corded stick vac, then saw a picture of the red Sebo Felix 2 somewhere. What a swanky looking vac!!! It seemed to be my holy grail combo of smallish, well made, maneuverable and not too heavy. I came here, did some reading, watched some youtube videos and was sold.

The store I went to didn't have the correct red/grey squares exhaust wrap on it - they had swapped it with the stripes and hearts version which I didn't like. The guy gave me my choice of any wrap so I could take it home today and he's mailing me the correct one this week, so I got a free exhaust wrap! I chose the black and sparkly silver dot wrap that is usually on the black model, pic below.

I took it for a drive around the house.....I love this thing already! He gave me a great tip for vacuuming stairs: Lay the vac completely flat at the bottom of the stairs while using the long hose and wand, that way it won't tip over. Included in the $700 price was a box of bags and a kit with the parquet head, a long hose, wand, upholstery brush and an adapter that makes other vacuum accessories fit. I also got the 10 year warranty instead of the 5/7 that I was expecting.

Never in my life did I think I'd spend $700 on a vacuum, but I have ZERO regrets. Thanks for the always helpful knowledge and opinions here!

N0oxy -

I got it at Ballwin Vacuum Center - 14544 Manchester Rd, 63011. The owner is a super nice guy - really knowledgeable and zero pushy. I feel like I got a good deal with the hose/wand/upholstery extras and the adapter so I could use accessories from my other vacuums. I was honestly shocked when he gave me the 10 year warranty. He also got my info so he could do the warranty sign up to make sure I was registered, greatly appreciated since I tend to be bad about doing that.

I really LOVE this vacuum, it works like a dream and has so many small but important features - typical great German engineering! It doesn't look as snazzy with the black/silver exhaust filter wrap and Mike truly felt bad that he didn't have the right one, but I get the correct wrap on Thursday.

I noticed after I posted that the correctly wrapped red one is actually the picture at the top of this forum - ha!

I think eventually they will put a headlight on, their X7 and X8 models have them unlike the older X models. But in the commercial environment, headlights are rather useless to have on. That's one of the reasons why the commercial models don't have them.

I would own one of these in a HEARTBEAT!! Don't feel bad for spending that much $$ for this. Very well made.

While I don't have a Sebo Felix or a Sebo, I use this with my upright. And it made me wonder if this would work with the Felix... This attachment kit changes the way you use an upright. It almost turns it into a central vacuum.. Yes you do have to move the vacuum occasionally, but never risk tipping it over or stretching the hose that is part of the vacuum itself... When I got my extension kit around 5 years ago, it was like $32 dollars... Now it's $49 (at least on Amazon)

Mark40511,

The Sebo Felix has an option for a 9' extension hose that the guy included with my purchase. The hose on the vac itself is around 6', so add on the 9' extension and it works like you describe. The Sebo will lay completely flat so no worries about tipping!
