I found this Lasko Hassock fan at Goodwill for $9

I used to have one of those, but it was Sears branded, not Kenmore, just 'Sears'. Amazingly, the thing survived the storm surge when Hurricane Hugo hit the South Carolina coast in September 1989, which took out our beach house. I was using that fan well into the '90s before it finally crapped out.
