Found an Electrolux 2100 with hose and an Aerus Lux Classic with hose at Goodwill today. At $10 each I couldn't pass them up.

I wouldn't have been able to leave those at the store, either. I have a Diplomat LX, which is essentially the same as the 2100, that I rescued from beside a dumpster about four years ago. It had not only a generic hose, but the electrified wand and power nozzle. It had basically two issues--the shutoff valve didn't work and somebody had cut off the cord. I lucked up on a cord winder for it very inexpensively, but I just left the valve disconnected. It works great and has been a real workhorse.

Have left both of them there. I'm not a lux fan and I could make any money flipping them.

Nice find! Don't see Aerus'es too much in the thrifts.

I may not be a Lux fan either but I would've gladly picked them up cause they're overall nice machines. At least the Lux Classic for certain since that's the current model as I could get order a new power nozzle for it and it's one of my favorite looking models. If only it used the same motors that the 2100 had, that would've been a plus for me!
