Hi guys!

Guess what I just bought and definitely cannot afford.

You got it, a new Dyson. I've had such stressful past few months trying to balance two part time jobs with a degree, I thought I deserve a little mood pick me up. Also, I'm about to graduate - what better gift to get? Or that's just me trying to reason unreasonable spending. But hey what are credit cards for? If anyone asks, I'm just here working on my credit score towards a mortgage... cause getting a house in London is so possible!

And it's time for me and our little flat to say goodbye to the previous workhorse - the DC11.

I brought it with me all the way from Poland (hence the EU plug). Got it for like 5 pounds on a market. Cleaned it up inside and out, got a new set of attachments, a new hose and some new filters. It was fun while it lasted. Now I will definitely distract myself from writing my dissertation with my new pink toy tho....

Getting credit cards is the worst thing you can do. I'm 26, and I pay for everything I buy in cash. No bills and no overspending.

I have the Aldi Easy Home clone of this vacuum, does the same job for $70 I only use it on my kitchen, those hand vacs never work on carpet.

Credit cards can be dangerous...

It's hard to save up cash for a downpayment on a home when you're trying to pay off a crushing credit card balance. I always make a practice of paying off my cards in full every month. Use it just for things you need--and can readily afford.

Oh worry not guys - I only took it on a credit cause I wanted to up my credit rating before autumn (my current phone contract runs out and I want to make sure to get a new one). Thankfully Argos here in the UK does this thing when you can buy something now and pay 6 months later - and I already have money saved up anyway. No matter how much I would love to do a Carrie Bradshaw and go get myself a ton of shoes, my mum always told me - you don't know how money works and no-one knows how credit cards work, don't get one! But I'm just glad to have one in the back pocket if shit does go down and I desperately need a hand.

On another note - V7 is all charged up, the dock installed in our cupboard and I'm ready for spring cleaning!
