Good Ideas Compact Twin Tub Washing Machine

1350 rpm according to the website I purchased it from

That's quite low for a twinnie. Of course, if one really wanted, you could get a spin dryer to accompany it and use that for your final spin. These go up to about 3000rpm. Creases to buggery, but really cuts down the drying time

My first one had damage to one side and the spin lid didn't close properly, but the replacement has been fine so far. I have used it exclusively for all my laundry until this week when I used my automatic as I was busy doing other things. The twin tub is a lot faster, but of course you have to be there a lot of the time to attend to it.

It is a very good machine, I just hope the next one they send me does not leak.
Another thing to note, the one they sent me (that leaks) the wash timer knob sticks up, does it do that on yours? Roger? The other two dials don't.

It seems the new one has a larger spin dryer capacity of half a kg plus it's cheaper too so I might plump for that one.

Not such a silly idea now is it!

When my partner discovered I had purchased this small twin tub, he wasn't best pleased, especially as we have a Bosch automatic that is barely two years old. I told him that I got it cheap and it would always come in handy if the Bosch broke down, but he wasn't convinced.

Well, my dear husband (Well he's not my husband, but he rubbed up against me in a sports jackets, so he's as good as) has had to eat humble pie this morning after the Bosch went kaput while washing his precious Boden shirts. What an inconvenience! Yes, for most people, but not for the sensible folk that happen to have a compact twinny in their ensuite.😄

So this afternoon I will be washing his shirts and a couple of loads of my clothes and tea towels in my little twin tub with a very smug expression on my face.

Not happy about the Bosch though. Fortunately we extended the guarantee so the repairs are covered, but the last Bosch we had went for 8 years before giving any trouble. We have both agreed on getting a Miele next time, but only one that has a 10 year guarantee as I hear if a Miele goes wrong, you need to arrange a second mortgage to pay for the repair.
