I just happened to be perusing Hoover's website today, and really don't have too much of an opinion on much of their current vacuum cleaners... but there is one that I have seen some periodic discussion about... Jack from the UK had done some pretty comprehensive reviews of the VAX version of this.

Fast forward to today, I was looking at what was on clearance, and what Hoover has for reconditioned machines.

I stumbled upon the "Hoover Windtunnel Air" on sale for $49.99.  I also happen to get emails from hoover.com about their current specials, and was able to save 10% off of the price, and get free shipping.  So with tax, it actually only came to $48.49!  What the hell, it'll be fun to play with and put through the paces.

There are some other good deals; if anyone wants to take advantage of the promo codes through tonight (when the sale expires), I've posted them below.

Stay tuned for when I get the cleaner..... :-)

I think you will really like the Windtunnel Air. I have had mine for about a year and a half now and I still use it weekly. There is so much power packed into it, and does a terrific job at grooming the carpet. Congrats on that price!

I KNOW WHAT ITEM IM ASKING FOR, FOR CHRISTMAS!!!

Lol. I want that windtunnel air really bad. Looks like a sharp, slim machine.

Good lord, that's less than we pay, and I'm a dealer who gets free shipping on all my orders...weird, I'm calling my rep tomorrow and telling her to send 10.

Just so we know, those Hoover Airs are reconditioned models!!! Still a steal of a deal though, and I have always been very comfortable with reconditioned products.

I noted in my original post that among others, I was looking at reconditioned machines.  I guess I forgot to specify that the Windtunnel Air I did actually purchase is in fact reconditioned.  I've had good luck with reconditioned machines as well.
