I've got a Gold E2 that has been rebuilt and is up for sale... Is there any interest here? It has a new motor/circuit card, and restored tool kit (electrified hose, power nozzle, wands, straight suction hose and floor tools).

I know what I need out of it, since I paid to rebuild it, but I wasn't sure if there'd be any interest on here before I consign it to the store? I'll get pics up as soon as possible.

Hello, I just signed up on here and saw your ad. how much are you looking to get out of this vac. some pictures would be great. thanks, Beau

No interest

Don't feel bad,, I posted looking for a Nilfisk center part and STILL!!!NO!!! RESPONSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rude I might say putting it mildly. what are you looking to get for that Rainbow? I am interested to see pics and price as well.

I'm thinking it'd be around 750 with shipping, but there's a bit of room for negotiation :) I need to dig it back out of storage and get pics of it again :/ The past two months have been a blur.. I restored it completely, put a new motor and control card in it and put it in storage because I got a black and silver one...

I haven't been paying much attention to vacuumland because I've been playing on automaticwasher.. I found a Kitchenaid KDS-58 and pieced it back together and have been stuck on dishwashers since.

I should go sell appliances LOL.

I'm just curious why it would have been so damaged that it needed a new motor and circuit board? The warranty on the motor and control board is 8 years, surely it would have been under warranty. I've worked on more than 200 brushless Rainbow vacuums, needing various repairs, but have never had to replace a motor. The motor itself should never actually go bad, since it has no brushes or commutator to wear out.

To be honest, they could never figure out what was wrong with it... You'd be vacuuming along and pull it into something and if the force was enough to make the dolly stop moving the vacuum would just shut off.. I sent it to have warranty work done 3 times, each time they replaced little stuff and didn't solve the problem... I had a spare circuit card and motor laying around the shop and said the hell with it, I'll replace those parts and see, and sure enough it hasn't done it since...

I don't exactly think the motor was bad, but I'm sure one of the cards somewhere was bad and I just got tired of dealing with it. The rainbow distributors up here aren't very receptive to helping dealers out when their customers bring their products in after not getting support from them.

I had bought this vacuum off of a lady because she just wanted it gone, and I hadn't had one in my collection yet. Then after that I had a silver one come in and a black one, so I opted for the silver one and sold the black one and here the gold one sits.

Dysonman, sometime if you have a chance, shoot me an email, I have a few questions I'd like to ask you.
