Refurbishing used Electrolux ( US Electrolux ) vacuums for resale was how Metropolitan Vacuum Company, aka Metrovac, got their start in manufacturing. The original owner was selling Electroluxes door to door before WWII, then set up a storefront business in New York. That morphed into a business refurbishing used Electroluxes for other vacuum shops to sell. Now they make a line of vacuums, dog, car and motorcycle dryers, computer vacs and the like. All metal, all made now in New Jersey. Their household vacuum is old school, all steel cylinder like a 1970s Royal Pony Tank. Nice equipment.
