Long running
The pedigree of this cleaner goes back almost as far as the dustette!
It first appeared way back in the 1930s as a Vactric with a rather distinctive octagonal body and the nozzle inlet angled down. It was sold as a stand alone cleaner but also alongside the Apex designed (and possibly manufactured) large upright cleaners instead of having an optional tool set for the cleaners. And so it continued, pretty much unchanged, until 1960 when Vactric went bust. It appears that Goblin acquired the design (and possibly the tooling) from Vactric and the machine appeared as a Goblin. It was updated pretty sharpish, retaining the distinctive handle, into the design we see above which, as Doug correctly points out, continued into the 1970s although it did not last quite as long as the Dustette
