Hi mate :)

I haven't got this one going yet it still needs a bit of work, but I can't wait until it is. Such a cool looking vac

Thanks to all again for the information, I really would love to see a thread of vintage vacuum cataloge pictures from the U.K.
I must admit that I wish the U.S had gotten as many neat and interesting cylinders as the U.K, oh well I will just have to start colecting U.K vacs!

By the way Ryan, I am really enjoying watching your videos on youtube!

Hey Ryan!

The Omni 1000 looks amazing! I've been shocked when I saw the four rear wheels, I think they have a great idea thinking of a canister that can glide in upright position, but wouldn't it be a bit dangerous when cleaning the stairs?
Anyway, I love the design, it reminds me to a Kelner that was sold over here about 1986, it had a very similar look, but it wasn't that overenginered. Can't wait to see the video of it, I wonder if it'll be as loud as the rest of the Goblins.

By the way guys, the idea of making a thread about catalogues is great, it's always cool to see what it was sold in the past hehe.

Kevin.

Hey Kevin :)

Apparently they had Electrolux motors so I doubt they'll be that loud. This one needs a bit of work though. I haven't tried to power it up yet because it was quite damp inside, so much so that the cloth filter bag had completely disintegrated. So I need to try and find another.

the idea of making a thread about catalogues is great

I have almost every Argos Catalogue from 1985 - 1997 scanned into my computer. I also have a few Kays, Littlewoods-Index and Grattan catalogues. I have a few more on the way to fill the gaps. Once the collection is complete, I will be posting various things on here for people to enjoy :)

Ryry, most had Electrolux motors, but I didn't say all. Hopefully yours will. As I rememeber though, the motor runs left to right across the rear of the cleaner and is held in place by a large 'C' clamp over the middle of the motor and I think both types should fit the same, so you may find that if yours is not one with the Electrolux motor, you may still be able to replace with one.

OK

Now I can add to this thread! I picked up this little Mighty Mini by Shop Vac yesterday!

It has surprizingly good suction, and isn't too loud!

I saw one of those Mighty Mini vacs at a thrift store a few months ago. It was very tiny. I thought about getting it, but decided to leave it.
