My Hoover 150 was minding its own business, sitting quietly in its corner when, suddenly, as a beam of the afternoon sun found its way across the room, this amazing halo appeared, reflected off of the cleaner's freshly polished, metal name band.

What could it mean?

Wow!

What a beautiful 150! Looks almost immaculate!

I've had that strange effect occur with some of my polished pre-war machines in certain lights.

I'd alert the media - before you know it, you'll have the 'Face of Jesus in the toast', 'Weeping Virgin Mary statue' phenomenon!

Marty,

Impressive!!!

Hopefully you have new Low E windows in your home, so you dont' have to worry about the sun fading the bags... another great invention of our time.

Beautiful 150, Marty!!

But I agree with the rest of them--get it out of the sun before it fades that original bag!!

it means that Mr. Hoover is rolling over in his grave and the angels are there with him........and of course the chinese!!!

Marty, that is a beautiful picture, I think it just means that the machine is happy to still be around and is smiling because you have given it such special care.

Pearls of Wisdom

Thanks for all the great feedback!

Not to worry, boy's, I smeared the bag with a whole bottle of spf 30 sunblock. So, its good-to-go.

Marty

Marty...

Great photo...wouldn't that be a great photo for the cover of one of the newsletters this year being Hoover's 100th and all?

PS I would have used something with a higher spf!LOL!!!!

Beautiful picture, Marty! Perhaps this is part of a "Hoover Code" and this is a clue that will lead us to long-lost scrolls containing secret designs of Henry Dreyfuss and vaults full of vacuum treasure...

I love lines and uniqueness of the 150 - in a class by itself, and now ordained and elevated to sainthood!

Rumor has it...

and the translation has been lost but, there was a fourth "movement" in the company slogan--It beats, as it sweeps, as it cleans, as it......! That's all we know, perhaps the code will help identify it.

Fifth movement, actually...

...since when headlamps became standard equipment, it became 'It Lights...as it Beats...as it Sweeps...as it Cleans'!
