Well, I have taken a new job, and have a new office......time to start bringing some personal touches to it. The person before me had a planter on top of the bookshelf that leaked and made the top of the shelf look rather ugly. To cover it up, I figured I needed to add something that would draw attention away from it!

Nice!

Nice! I think I recognize that old Lux, as I think that was one of mine I used to have. Those old 30's are great machines. They are still what I consider one of the "jewels"in my collection.

Nathan!

I believe you are correct! I've carried it from office to office with me, but I think it is one I got from you. It runs amazing, and I'm 99.999% sure the motor has been serviced at some point because it seems to have a substantial amount more power than some of my other XXX's. I LOVE having these old items in my office, they get so much attention and can start so many conversations! I am now in a skilled nursing facility, and when family members come in, they spot these items (antique radio, vintage mini console TV from the late 60's, antique fan from the 20's, West Germany cuckoo clock on the wall, now this XXX) and they either recognize them from their childhood, or at least begin talking about them, some have even brought their family members in to take a look at them! To me, this is what collecting this stuff is all about!

Here’s the rest.....

Of my toys; I haven’t taken a recent one of my electric meter lamp, but here’s a photo of what it looks like too! One thing I can say, I may be eclectic, but there’s plenty of conversation starters when you walk into my office!!
