It looked like everyone had a wonderful time, and great fellowship! Like Morgan, I would have loved to been there, but I just couldn't get away. However I guess you could say I was celebrating in my own way here, I cleaned the whole house with a 1967 HOOVER suitcase vac!!

I used my Eureka today, along with the Oreck Buster B...

I know, not a Hoover...

Mini meets are so much fun. I want to do one here...but I never seem to get the time...

plus our house is so small...and I would need to start cleaning a month in advance...

Morgan, Cleaning a month in advance of a MiniMeet!!! Half the fun of a MiniMeet is that you're better off not cleaning before one. I know this may sound terrible, but if the house is spotless then vacuum enthusiasts can't pick up any dirt with the vacuums present!! MiniMeets are such a great social time. You don't have to have a full house of guests to have fun. Just think of it as a small gathering of friends. Could be 3 people and still have fun. The importance is not environment but rather the gathering of people together and sharing knowledge, experiences or just socializing in general. If one is up to cooking they may do that. But food is also secondary. Going out on the town to a restaurant or ordering food in is of course always fun and so much easier on the host as this virtually eliminates clean up. Many people like to cook, but the clean up is the terror. It's your ball park you can do whatever you like!!

I live in a townhouse so having a MiniMeet doesn't work as well. Can't be making tons of noise all day long and definitely not till late. When I do get a house, I definitely plan on hosting one. For now, I thoroughly enjoy going to them though and am more than happy to help if I can. I always try to bring a few machines along to play with. I would love to bring food but traveling 3 hours makes me worry about how it will survive temperature and physical condition so I stocked up on all sorts of pretzels, chips, guacamole, tortilla chips, cheese and salsa dip, candy, etc. for the last one and we filled a whole bunch of Hoover Convertible hoods and bowls with snacks!!! It's a shame we forgot to cut up the cucumbers that I bought. They might have made nice dippers in the guacamole or a ranch dip!! Oh well, that just shows how into the vacuum fun we were!!

Happy Vacuuming everyone!

Looks like another successful mini-meet!

Looks like everyone had a fun time. I have no doubts that John Long can host a wonderful mini-meet! Love the collection of new and older Hoovers. Although I had to cringe somewhat at the RIP Kirby photo, I know it was all done in fun. Love the Hoover hoods idea so creative!

Thanks, kenny!

Yes, ALL in good fun. I CAN be a sport about the 'non-HOOVER species", lol. Fear not!! every inch of carpeting has been gone over carefully with a proper HOOVER machine. The R.I.P. was Mark's thing...... I merely went along. One does try to be courteuos, afterall.
10 epole create a lot of excitement. That is why the cats were in their 'apartment' until the last bit of time. It might have been just too much excitement. for them.
I'm looking forward to the next gathering around the Christmas holidays. It will give me the incentive to finish more painting and decorating in a timely manner.
