general constellation questions (I own a 454)

I know this is an old thread but --

if anyone is out there still.... I just happened upon a beautiful (and free!) turquoise model four fifty four, and am so excited but it has no hose -- I do have the wand though. I am wondering if anyone knows whether the 454 model and say the model 82 or another one share the same hose?
there are a few inexpensive model 82s right now on ebay, would hate to get it just for the hose but I'm thinking of it. Maybe I could weld the beat up 82 onto a spaceage garden art peice

Sorry Gaiamie,

But the model 82 hose will not fit the 454. The 82 has the long arm top mounted swiveling hose, but the 454 takes a front mount hose with a much shorter (and different) connector. If I'm not mistaken, the 86 is the earliest model whose hose would fit a 454.
