Nice looking vacs and looks like the UK Hotpoint is based on it, love the strong colours of this vac, is very light , wimpy brush roll with open belt, BUT, rather ahead of its time with the top fill bag, it uses a rubber tube up the side of the bag and the paper bag then connects at the top, this cleaner was still being sold up to the ninties as the Parry / Universal / Mail order groups etc... It also boasted a carry pouch in the back of the bag for the turquoise coloured cable....
More pics of the brushroll/bottom plate etc, the rating plate if you can mate..that'll be interesting as i've not had much contact with these vacs at all.
Heh, baseplate looks just like a Juniors, I like the brushroll ;p I wouldn't mind one of these hotpoints myself, or a Goblin upright like i've seen on your pictures site, Mike..any chance of some pictures of that? :]
This is the model made for SWEB Line, the South Western Electricity Board, love the Sateen bag and the way it inflates, thats how an upright should look in operation...again only 300watts but seems to have a more agressive agitator...oopps brushroll!!
And the side view, I do have the attachments, which are the same as the cylinders, but quite frankly you`d be better off with a Dustette...the bag looks full & heavy buts its empty with a new paper bag, its the way it swells etc..
I'm quite a Goblin fan tbh, I've got a Goblin Compact (ya know the cheapo cylinder they did) one of those weird (is it 402?) cylinders from the 70s with the circular vents in the side, and some 50s one the model number of which I forget.
I dunno why I like em, everyone likes the underdog in some way I suppose
