I think most people knew that the video was an affectionate p**s take and not an attack on us vacuum loving folks. Mark has summed it up perfectly and obviously got the joke, but you can't please everyone all the time and I've stopped trying.
When I started my youtube channel I was suppressing certain parts of my personality, thinking my style wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but now I think, if you don't like me, who cares? I make videos about vacuum cleaners which I try to make informative and entertaining for enthusiasts like us and also for the general public who are looking for advice. Some of the videos I make are aimed more at collectors and tend to be a bit more jokey in their content and the other more factual reviews are for those people who may be looking to buy a particular model and want to know more about it.
Don't let it bother you Mark, it doesn't bother me and I'm the idiot in the video. I didn't really plan to do it until I saw the Daily Mail headline and the idea came into my head. It was made on a Saturday afternoon and apart from the introduction, it was all ad libbed and not as polished as I would like, but I wanted to upload it that day as the news was current.
John Thomas will be interviewing Kevin again, but I will be taking my time to plan the next video and make it a bit more professional and hopefully funny for those people who get the humour.
