Would anybody like to give up their Miele? I'd love to have one. The problem is, I can't afford one. I'd love to have an s5. I have two long haired rough coat collies (like Lassie) and two short haired cats that if you pet them, the hair flies everywhere, and where does it go, the floor. I have a newer Oreck (at least a 2010) that just can't hold up to the torture. The s5 Leo, the Earth, or the Capricorn would be awesome. The s5 Callisto, or libra would also fit. Please help me! 'Till then I'm without a liable cleaner. (I also have medium carpet throughout my house).

This hasn't been a joke since 1993, Dan.

I must be a fool...

Well, here's the truth, I'm not kidding! Miele s5's went out of style, so I thought that someone more fortunate than me would rather a s8. I don't even know a vacuum good for me in my situation,, quiet, state of the art, aggressive?

Letter

Today, I sent out a letter to Miele. Sense they quit making the s5's, I asked them if they had any they needed to get rid of, that I'd love to have on with a SEB-236 ELECTRO PREMIUM power brush. I will say if and when and what Miele responds.

unless your oreck has no bristles left on the brush or the belt is stretched to where it doesn't spin, I don't understand how the oreck is being tortured and not able to clean the hair?

Possibly the Oreck is blocked past the front and probably up the back spine leading to the bag.

The Miele S5 hasn't stopped selling though. It is still part of the Miele range for the moment, and in several countries.

What you could be asking for is a free Miele S700 model; they're heavier but I suspect a lot of U.S owners would want to hold onto most Miele vacs - after all they're far too expensive to buy in the States unless it is the Panasonic based uprights from the 1990s.
