I really got a kick out of seeing the 1977 or so Hoover catalog that Fred Stachnik had presented on this board back in late 2006.

Would anyone happen to have any 1980s Hoover promotional brochures (back in Hoover's "America Trusts" period that spanned the years 1977-88)?

Thank you,

Ben Edge (KirbyClassicIII)

or this? My resizing software makes these look awful. If anyone knows of a way to share a 1.5 gb file (that is easy for me) you can have 500+ Hoover scans.

Any specific models/lines you wanna see, Ben?

Hoover Scans

I have them uploaded to my website David. See the link below. I've contacted the VCA members to share any literature they have, and I invite the same to members here! If you have something you wish to share email me, and I'll give you instructions to upload.

Once I get some time (probably this summer or fall) I'm going to create a full-blown website dedicated to archiving and preserving literature for vacuums in archival-quality scans for future generations. it's hard enough finding information as it is, so I want to link it to where it's searchable.

How to Identify Year of Brochures by Cover Art

Would it be possible for all of us to identify what year these brochures were printed going by the style of the photography on the front cover?

And wouldn't this style of front cover art sometimes be repeated for a year?

green S3061 w/Powermatic

I miss my green Celeb S3061 w/Powermatic it was my 1st vac in childhood collection (other than the Lux 1205 used as a daily vac) Is there a GREEN S3061 or is it different mdl# since the PN had light & had speed control & PN & canister were green like the one I used 2 have.
