Thank you rugsucker.
I love the model LX, after all it was what started the interest, but I was only 2 years old when it came out. By the time I was old enough to understand the demo process I was 17, and the salesmen didn't want to talk about the LX, they were pushing the new 1205!
All I know is what I read, and that comes from the few issues of 'The Electrolux News,' and 2 books strictly for employees.
Do I welcome ideas, and corrections? certainly! But according to the book 'Electrolux the first 40 years,' the Waldorf was an anual event with other gatherings around the country. The picture I posted was to 'welcome' the 60. And as I said it's a three page fold-out that I can't download. Naturally I'm guessing about the facial reactions, but I attended one in 1968, and it was damned boring!
I love to get into a time machine and watch the demo of the LX, I'm sure it was awesome. What I did do, was see the museum at the factory in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, and yes, I was a kid in a candy store.
As I said, I welcome ideas on this and all topic I write about.
