Now THIS is a forgotten machine. The SteamVac Jr., dating from the late 90s-early 2000s, is a portable deep cleaner along the lines of the Bissell Little Green. The only videos I've been able to find of it were some commercials, along with an unboxing video (the user found one at a thrift store). There are absolutely NO videos of the SteamVac Jr. in action, so I've never been able to hear what it sounds like.
I remember seeing one that was NIB at a thrift store, but I didn't pick it up sadly. There are plenty of ads for them on Youtube, and they pop up on Ebay semi-frequently, and I was briefly considering getting one to use as a spot cleaner.
I wouldn't say it's forgotten, but the First Steamvac? its super hard to find videos about the thing, which is strange considering it's such a huge part of vacuum cleaner history.
Came across a picture here of it on this site awhile back. Really nice ruby red color. Anyone have anymore information on this one, or if it's still available anywhere?
These were great vacuums. My mother had one when I was in my early teenage years. This was a true multi-cyclonic vacuum with other great features such as a handle/wand combo, very long stretch hose, and soft motor start. It was a two motor vacuum, too, and it was indeed very quiet. Really a great deal for the $97 they asked for back before it was discontinued.
