Hello!

Any interest here in a Sunbeam Model 635 "Touch and Lock" steel pancake canister vacuum in avocado green?

It has (4) attachments, 2-section handle, hose, and 6 bags including the one installed. Great suction, quiet motor, overall good working condition. A couple of scrapes on the lid and it looks like it is missing a third wheel or bumper pad on the bottom, but not sure. Hose in great condition, no splits or leaks. The wide head attachment looks like it has damage along the back edge, but it doesn't affect usage (see pic).

It has the original "STEEL" sticker on the lid. I'm guessing it is from the 1970's given the color.

Not sure what to ask for it, but I think they are fairly hard to come by so make me an offer! I'm planning on putting it on eBay or my Etsy shop but thought I'd check here first for any interest.

Got plenty of pics, or can provide more if desired! Thanks for any information you could share on this retro vacuum. (I'm almost tempted to keep it, if only for cleaning under the beds!)

Thanks all!

Michele

I had heard that these vacs do have awsome suction, and were very popular in the early to mid 1970s However, filtration wasnt the best, and they were known to blow alot of dust around. This could maybe be remedied with retrofitting somehow im assuming.
The one big problem now days too is that the replacement bags have not been in production for many yrs now, and are practically impossible to find.
However another brand that is still in production could probablly be retrofitted if someone is handy with sizzors and glue.

Sunbeam

Good information above and bags are near impossible to at many places--but not HERE!I have many semi-obsolete bags in attic with a lot of them being various Sunbeam types. Also generic for Lewyt & Westinghouse, genuine for Sharp canisters & many older Sears & more & more.Hope to sort & list in near future.
As to above vac its seems original and complete with no terrible abuse or damage.Of the many Sunbeam I have(but want to go to new homes)or have seen this seems to be rare model and color.

Thanks for the responses. I see there is currently an ebay auction for some bags that fit it for $4.99 (6:99 buyout).

My hunch is that this would be more for someone's collection and not to actually use, although it is tempting! I'm not sure my new vacuum has this much suction!

I have received an offer on this avocado flying saucer.......anyone else interested? Please contact me via email!

Thanks!
