Our first post although we registered prior to the site redesign.

We're offering a Hoover Electronic 1000 Powernozzle Variable Speed Cleaning System Vacuum

Model S3231

Includes attachments and one vacuum bag.

This vacuum still works but an upright replaced it as the primary vacuum so it has seen little usage in recent years. Reasonable offers are welcome.

Contact us with any questions and for more photos.

Vacuum comes from the smoke-free home of a close relative.

We're currently in Southern New England

Message sent. Would love to add this to my collection.

WOW!!!!! You do realize you have one of the RAREST canister vacuums in North America, let alone what Hoover offered and made right?

I would strongly suggest you NOT sell that vacuum to Cheesewonton! Take it off here, and put it up on Ebay IMMEDIATELY! And make sure you ask AT LEAST a $2,000 dollar starting bid. You WILL get the money for it! Yes, they are that rare, and very sought after by collectors.

Well, that's quite a plot twist.

In my efforts to do my research, I've found little on this particular vacuum - although I was led here to this site.

80's, French-made canister vacuum. Can I assume the 'remote control' feature is what makes so rare and sought after?

Yes, that's part of it. Plus like you said it was imported from France for only about 1.5 to 2 years I think. It was replaced immediately by the Dimension 1000. The UK members here, if you look in the archives, quite liked this canister. And therefore it probably had a good following by the general public over in Europe. It's actually strange why they didn't keep the model, rather than come out with the Dimension 1000.
