Here's those picture I took of (What used to be) that 60s Zenith set I dragged out of the woods! I don't have any pictures of the tubes, they're in a padded box, I'll take a picture of them later for you!

I call this one, "As time progresses"!

Oh, Any guesses as to what that not-so-vintage TV is in the background? Think 80s!

Lastly,

Some kind of circuit thingy! what is it?

Michelle, I just remembered! I still have all the rusting circuit boards and bits of old TV glass back in that barn, too! in a 5 Gallon bucket! Anything i should know before I go dumping it out to take a picture? Don't want to catch Zenitis!

Alex

Hey thanks for the pictures!!! Awesome little Zenith TV you got there!!! Ya know what would be cool...use the plastic frame from the TV and build a shelf out of it to put little knick knacks in!!! I've thought about doing it, would be cool!!!! I've got way too many projects to add a TV made shelf to! If ya just buff the whole thing out it should work again! Ha ha! Very neat!!! :) -Michelle

But there's more!

I'm sure you all of people can identify this old radio, it looks like the sticker peeled off long ago!

I bought this thing in a bundle of a few records and an Elvis stamp, all for $7! not bad considering it still works on all of the original tubes!

And there's Mark!

I knew he'd be along before long to interrupt my postings!

I think it's a HARPERS radio, with something to do with RCA Victor! Regardless, anybody know where I can find a 67.5 Volt battery? LOL! I ran this thing on a couple of 9-Volts daisy-chained together (Did you know the 9-Volt was introduced in 1957 specifically for Transistor Radios?). Ironically, the first song it played was "The Great Pretender", maybe this radio never left the 50s!

Next up!

Those ZENITH tubes! The Zenith insignia on the T.V set, and this tube, were all I had to identify what that thing I just dragged out of the woods was!

Besides a bit of Rust-Dust, they look spotless! If only I had a tube-tester!

Alex, that's a amazing! How do you get the heaters to warm up without the B67.5V battery?! Once again, that's amazing!

The D battery in the tubed radio is for the "heaters"-Filaments-battery radio tubes have directly heated filaments-it serves as the cathode, too. The B battery-missing provides the higher voltage for the plate circuits in the radio. The radio will need BOTH batteries to work.Used to have a radio sort of like that-worked well, actually.

Alex

Ha ha! Yea, I think you can just soldered those boards up and away you go!!! Ha ha! Cute little transistor radio you got there!!! Did you clean it up where the tubes were or did you get it like that??? Me and you both, I'm awaiting to find a tube tester as well!!!!! I need one bad!!!! Well, getting all excited, tomorrow is my 30th birthday!!!! I'm making my own cake because I can use multiple mixers!!! Ha ha! Oh also, one of my birthday presents was a copper plated Sunbeam Junior! I told him I wanted him to pick me out a Junior and he did good! He's all ready for making some cake tomorrow! Ha ha! I will post pictures of all my wonderful things! Also, he bought me a vintage ad brochure for a flexifone! You'll see why I had to have it! :) -Michelle

tolivac, thanks for the correction! I shouldn't have Crystal Pepsi-ed the " 5Th " on account of that demon possessed chair! I had about a full eight hours filled with night terrors, and when I came to this morning - THERE WAS THE OLD MAN SPINNING IN THAT INFERNAL CHAIR.....IT FOLLOWED ME HOME!!!

Yes,B batgtery replacement made up by connected 9V batteries in series. One nut made a 2000V supply by series up enough 9V batteries-that supply would be LETHAL!!!Heck,we could make the Satan Chair an ELECTRIC CHAIR with that idea-its on YouTube somewhere.Another use for the Satan Chair--at how folks are misbehaving while riding on the airlines-every airliner would be equipped with a few of these chairs--DON'T forget to fasten your seatbelt-and no cushion to protect the back of your head from the Satan nose on the chairs backrest!
