found this at a vintage vacuum emphemera haul (which will be posted about later) but knew u really wanted this. sorry some of the photos are a tad fuzzy on the ends. but this is the complete manual with what i THINK you were looking for. pub date is 1947.

McAllister instructions

Great,rare and interesting booklet!
This raises the question of which came first,McAllister or Silver King,as there are similarities of features,suggested uses and mid west locations.Any connections?

It occurred to me that this machine also is very similar to the Fairfax. I wonder if there are any connections there.

Re Fairfax..

I used to think it was a early fairfax,,,and it DOES look like one, but it is different tooling, the McAllister is smaller in diameter and of course the attachments are nothing at all similar..The McAllister is a great machine, I have the hose ,wands and dusting brush, Clay Floyd had the attachments and I think they are in the museum at Tacony, the rug tool is really special, big and ugly, but it really cleanes great!

The McAllister uses the same lamb motor as a round Lewyt, a short pan Silver King, a Filter Queen model 350, and a Eureka 800 series. They all have exactly the same suction. The Silver King was here before the McAllister. Both claimed to be able to pick up water, just like Lewyt claimed for their first model (40).
