I found this old local news station review video from 2009 of when Shark first started entering the US market with their cordless floor sweeper. Thought it was neat to see how far they have come in 10 years.
The custodians in my work place started using them for quick pickups. So I decided to go ahead and buy one. It was about fifty bucks at WalMart. They do work better than a manual carpet sweeper. It doesn't pick on edges very well. You have to get right over the dirt to pick it up. The handle connector is pretty flimsy and the connector breaks according to the reviews.
I take it with me to sweep my grandparent's apartment. I usually do the hall next to their apartment as well. It has a long battery life. In my opinion it's a good sweeper! But not a replacement for a vacuum cleaner. I would buy one again when this one breaks.
Yes, it has no suction so it is not a vacuum cleaner, its just a spinning brushroll that flicks the dirt into a bin. It's good for flooring or very low pile carpet but that's about it.
I got one at Restore in September for $3.50, just need a charger for it.
Oh you mean infomercials? Yeah they just don't make commercials like that anymore. I don't remember the vacuum but I remember watching a few late at night in the 2000's
