Thasts it

1960 or 61. that's the one Mr Mench, the Denver Rainbow dealer said looked like "Old man Hill painted with a damn paintbrush!" LOL.....T.Russ Hill was the President of Rexair for many years. this is the first machine after he and JV Sanders bankrupted the company so they could buy it back after the hostile takeover by Ward industries. This is a VERY rare machine, I found one for Clay Floyd a few years ago.

That model Rexair came at the VERY end of the gold model D's production, and was only available for a few months until the "chrome dome" launched. But it wasn't the first time the word Rainbow was used. In fact, ALL gold model D Rexair cleaners were labeled "Rainbow Model D" - and the machine was referred to in the owners manual and the literature as a Rexair "Rainbow".
