LOL - I just had to post this one just to prove that Dave isn't the only one that takes these kinds of trips. I just got back from a week in Calgary Monday night - this is what I picked up. I spent about $60 total. The Sunbeam is for a friend and the hoover is for my collection - the other two are up for grabs. Also there are several extra packages of bags for the Sunbeam Challenger series that I picked up for $3.00 a pack if anyone needs one.

Any of those come from my old favorite thrift store haunt, the Mennonite Thrift Shop in NE Calgary?

Nice haul Doug!

You've got a great deal of nice stuff there! Before everyone grabs everything, I'm all out of Windex! LOL.

Thanks for the pic!

Rick

Sorry guys - been run off my feet today

So in order:

No Pete - only thing from the MCC thrift store was the one set of hoover telescopic wands.

Hi Toby - havnt quite decided on the GE parts but I'll let you know

Hi Mike - have 3 people wanting the electrolux - I'll see what spare parts I have for it and find out shipping costs on the weekend and let you all know then we'll go from there

and last but not least - yes Pete it is a MC661 Panasonic

Hooray for Road Trips!!

Hi Doug. Overwhelmed with work here myself - we are beginning the Image photo shoots for the 2009 Season plays and Media Blitz Materials. All this on top of running 11 shows per 6 day week, which is the usual around here this time of year as the season lumbers towards closing on November 9.

You had mentioned them earlier and I do hope that you have set aside a couple for my flaming green Challenger. It's going to the spa this weekend for a makeover. Because it appears it was last used without, or with a burst bag there is a lot of rattling grit throughout and will have to be torn down to the motor. I washed the greasy tools & hose and black crud from the hose's insides by taking it into the shower with me after a long soak in the sink. :-)

Hi Dave:

Yep actually have an original package set aside for you and one of the generic ones (most of them are generic - "to fit" bags) I thought you might want the original to keep and the generic to use.

Are you still planning on coming down this fall? And if so anything else I should be digging out for you?

Doug

Hey Doug! Did you happen to get any tools with the blue Sunbeam for your friend? I have an extra blue original Sunbeam dusting brush and extra tool tray for that machine, and may also have an extra upholstery tool for it, but I'd have to look to be sure. If you can use them, we'll work out a sale or trade. Later, Trg

Hi Toby - I have the crevice tool and small nozzle but nothing else so far. Would love to make a trade with you. What all do you need? The machine will be going to Edgar in Belgium for his collection. He had asked me to watch for one so I did.

Hey Doug! I have the same Sunbeam in my collection, but it's missing the crevice tool. I could use one of the swivel connectors for an Apex, a gray Royal floor brush, a dark green GE upholstery tool in addition to the GE stuff that I said I'd like to get from you, and a pink Sunbeam crevice tool in addition to the blue one. Any help would be GREATLY appriciated. Just let me know. Later, Trg
