You may remember a thread back in late September when I told about the 5 vacuums Norm Brown gave me when he had to down-size his collection. I did take pictures and finished the roll on Thanksgiving Day (yes, I still use film), and got them back the following week. Now that I know how to upload them, it's time to share them with you.
Top photo is all 5--Kirby Dual Sanitronic 50, Royal Hand Vac Model 157, GE Swiveltop Model VCII3, Hoover Aerodyne Model 42, and Hoover Lark 12.
Bottom is Kirby D-50. This is currently a project vacuum, and thanks to Kerry Reid, it's about 95% finished. Will post "after" pictures as soon as I get some taken and developed.

Royal Hand Vac & Hoover Lark 12

Talk about color match, the Hand Vac matches my Royal 153 and 189, and the Lark matches my Hoover 29!

Hoover Aerodyne 42 and GE Swiveltop

Always wanted an Aerodyne, now I have one. Does anyone have any extra attachments you'd sell me for it? The Swiveltop runs great and is much quieter than later models. I have repaired the hose and cleaned up the attachments so far.

Oh, you have one of "my" Swivel Tops, all there, and that nice Hoover tank has one of my generic floor tools. I bought a bag of white wet/dry tools at a thrift store to supplement the tools on my Eureka Mighty Mite Boss. They came in really handy. I don't pick up water with it.

Alan, I knew that swiveltop would catch your eye! Do you have this model?
Norm, we'll have to get together some time, most likely after the holidays. And yes, I have been enjoying the vacuums. Was running the D-50 earlier tonight.
Charles, you should see it now! All shined up with a new bag on it. Hope to get some "after" pictures taken eventually. And it runs like a dream!

Swiveltop

Think I remember that picture, isn't that the one you got on ebay not too long ago? How's the restoration coming along on it?
Jeff

That's the spirit, Alan! Enjoying the vacuums we have is the main thing, and probably the reason we collect them to begin with, because we enjoy them. Restoration is secondary, even though it can add to your enjoyment, especially if you do it yourself. But the main thing is to enjoy!

I just do my cleanups etc as I feel like. Stuff can sit weeks or months or longer before I get round to doing anything with them. Some of mine I've never done yet other than wiping them off.
