Finally preparing the Vacuum "gallery". Care to see some HOOVERS?

9 of them are official

The others, I had made.  I've been given some, too.  Mr. Dick Pike (Windtunnel fame) gave me some t..

I've had several made for other people, too.  I also have a few HOOVER hats,  although I never wear hats as a rule,  until I might have to.

  More pics soon.  Stay tuned!!

I'll have to keep an eye out and see if there are any HOOVER shirts around in my size!

I'm not a hat wearer either, although occasionally if it is very warm day and I'm out in the exposed sun for hours it is useful to have.

Wow! I love....just love your collection. I used to collect. Makes me sad when I think of all the vacuums I gave away! But I also acquired the mint green Decade 80. Was and still is my favorite. It has sparked my interest again. So, the hunt starts!!! Hope to one day show my own collection!

Great pictures as always John!  I have to say I'm surprised to see that you have Maytag appliances, although they are apparently great quality I always imagined you would have a HOOVER washer and dryer.

What wonderful pictures!

Thanks again for allowing us to see all your goodies! It's amazing what you've been able to find; you might indeed locate Jimmy Hoffa after all! In fact, I'm betting that the Lindbergh Baby has been playing with those toy coffee cans!

Hope you can get some relief from your headaches. Sending positive thoughts and energy to you!

Thanks, guys.

It is amazing when you think of all the "stuff" we find. As far as the lasundry machines,  "over here",  we never really had HOOVER washers and dryers like "across the pond".  We mostly had the portables.

These Maytags are wonderful. Someone mentioned me having a museum.  PLEASE!  I'd only be a self-proclaimed curator.  I have a few degrees, but none in Museum Studies.  I just have a collection,  a 'gallery' at best.

Stay tuned.  More pics coming soon.  I hope you're enjoying them.

John, if there were a HOOVER museum you would be more than qualified to run it! Your house is better than a museum though, because it is a place where the vacuums can still "live" normal lives and be used, rather than being placed on podiums etc...

I would so love to see your collection in person one day. If you would have me!

I think we'll look at stick vacs next.

I have loads of them...... various styles and colors.

Just yesterday, I got a cordless Windtunnel stick vac.  It doesn't have a maek on it.  The brushroll was loaded w/ hair.  OUTSIDE,  I took care of that... PERFECT.  These are very costly, complete w/ battery.  I only paid..... (almost died).. $13.00   uhuh !!

Then, I spied with my little eye,  a black Brushvac... perfect condition.  It, too, was only $12.00

I'm amazed at what people will discard!

Plus, I'm going to pay a tribute to the Brits....... sharing all of my HOOVERS made on the other side of "the pond".

  John.
