Okay, So Today me nd my friend were hanging outside, we decided to go to her house, I already knew she had a Filter Queen Majestic 360, So I asked to use it, Okay nd they havn't taken good care of it at all.. It sounded like it may have been clogged.. And really smelled! But lets get to my expierience with it. I turned it on fairly quiet, then turned the power head on, there was ALOT of hair, string, fuzz and carpet fibers around the roller brush. And make a horrible noise when the power head was turned on.. Anyways next it spit back alot of stuff actually.. Which kinda make me upset but whatever.. And then I just vacuumed away real happy. Accidently ran over a pen and some change and a hair twistie thing (Lol) got caught in the roller brush. But the hair twistie jammed the rollar and I've never heard a Noise like that before. Before the roller shut itself off ofcourse. Anyways very happy with it nd hopefully gonna get one on Ebay..! Very excited! Tell me about your expierience! Love to read it! Thanks, Comment please(:

We have 2 of them out in the shed. I'm not a big fan... the first time I used one, it kept clogging up. I'll keep an old Kirby for heavy-duty work (other than shop-vac kinda stuff), but I'm aiming to get a new Rainbow for daily general use.

Similar...

I have a 75th anniversary which is pretty much the same thing only in different colors. I bought it the same day i went to the twin cities to buy my Tristar, on the way back i was thinking about it since it was on the way so i stopped and bought it. It's a fairly nice machines i love the way the handle feels in your hand, really comfortable i think. I don't like how much noise the new power nozzle makes though seems like it vibrates a lot, though i suppose it's a bit better than pushing around "a stuborn shoebox" :P I do like the direct connects on the wand/Pn though despite hearing about that being faulty.

How much...

Does the average FilterQueen vacuum sell for? Is it pretty much the same price range of a Kirby or Rainbow? ($700-2500). Also, any FilterQueen owners, what is your opinion for the power, soil removal, and filtration compared to a Kirby? I currently have a GSix 2000 Limited Edition and when it's finished being restored I plan to sell it and buy a FilterQueen if I ever run into a good deal.

Well....

From what i've heard they tend to go for 1500+ usually into the 2000s. Comparing it to a Kirby...i'd stick with the Kirby, it has strong suction and it's airflow is pretty good when it's clean pulling about a 3 on my baird guage but the cone does clog up pretty quickly, don't get me wrong i do like my FQs but in terms of deep cleaning power the Kirby is definitely the way to go between the two. As for Filtration, the filter queen with a medipure is better the active charcoal the exhaust smells fresh and clean.

I have a 2009 Filter Queen. The filtration is great and it has a lot of suction but the power head could be better. In terms of deep cleaning the carpets, my Kirby Ultimate G does a better job. For low pile carpets, and bare floor cleaning the FQ does a great job.

You will more than likely find, as others here have stated, that the Kirby will do a better job of deep cleaning your carpeting.

Filter Queen doesn't appear to have been that popular in our area, you rarely see a FQ machine. I did see a FQ at Mid-West a few years ago but he was asking $600 for it, I was thinking $200. I have never seen FQ D2D or at the Home show. You see Kirby well represented, as well as Rainbow and Elux.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I actually dont live in Eldorado. I passed through it on a cross country trip this summer and thought it would be a good choice to hide my identity for social life purposes. Anyway, how much does the filter queen weigh? Thanks, hopefully you can understand that I'm not coming out of the closet about my vacuum obsession in my school career.

I actually dont live in Eldorado

I understand, but that really sucks. I thought there was another close by, ok 32 miles away, but closer than some.

John,
Filter-Queen, Kirbys sale? Pictures? price? spill it.

We have the 2 in our shed. As I said, I don't care for them. We'll be selling off most of what we have: 2 Filter Queens, Kirby G6 2000, Ultimate G Diamond, G5, G4 and maybe a couple of others. We're aiming for a new Rainbow, and we'll need all the cash we can get :)

We'll be keeping an Ultimate G Diamond, Classic III and 512... Those will be our primary Kirby collection.
