Just decided to pop onto eBay (which I've been spending entirely too much time on already) and found some suitable attachments for my green Hoover Celebrity QS.
They are not the rare mint green, mind you, but they are the right style/era and appear to be in excellent condition. And will look much better I'm sure and still be cheaper than buying modern grey Portapower style attachments.
There was no crevice tool included in the set though, but I'm sure one will pop up soon. For now I can use the gray one from my Constellation.
Hoping to make a video and get some pics after they get here. As I was waiting to have a complete machine first. Everything else is all ready to go. I gave the power nozzle a complete cleaning and replaced the blown head light bulb.
The canister also got the bumper removed and motor cover and handle taken off for cleaning. All the paint and chrome got polished with Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound and Turtle Wax Chrome Polish. Along with some Meguiars PlastX polish for the plastic and vinyl parts. All finished up with Turtle Wax Car Wax.
I did have to order some new attachment lock rings for the hose end, and gray hubcaps for the wheels but they don't look too out of place.
