A family friend has had her mom's Royal Power Tank for 5 years now since her mom died. My dad saw it in her house back in the Winter of 09, but she wouldn't get rid of it. So a few weeks ago he had to go and fix a leak there, and there it was. I asked her if she wanted to get rid of it yet, and she said no.. But I told her I would trade her for a different vacuum, and she said that would be great, because she hates the Royal. So first I gave her a Windtunnel Supreme, but she didn't like it because it was bagged. So then I gave her a Dirt Devil Vision Swivel Glide Bagless, and she loved it and planned on trading me for it, but I told her I had something a lot better for her. So I brought her a new Eureka Uno upright, and she was in love. She loved the powerful suction, easy empty dirt cup, turbo tool, and long cord. She immediately said she wanted it and gave me the Royal. I am soooo happy. I have wanted a Power tank for SO long. It runs like new, and has all of the attachments. It is a GREAT vacuum! I'll post a picture of it soon

You got a great deal there Chase. This is an awesome cleaning canister, and has the later power nozzle by Hayden which in my opinion is one of the best cleaning power nozzles made. You will absolutely love it! I have the last one made in the maroon color with the matching Royal upright of the time and they are two of my favorites! Try and find the correct micro-fresh bags by Royal, each pack comes with a new filter and they are good quality bags. Enjoy!

I've got some Royal bags for it! She had some laying around and threw those in as well. I also have bags and filters at home for it from my older Power Tank and Pony. It is a GREAT vacuum. I didn't bother giving it the total clean down, because I am going to use this sucker all the time

I love these machines! (gasp, I think I have 5 of them now! 2 light blue, 3 maroon) With their onboard tool storage, triple filtration, and unmatched suction, these machines take the cake! Rigged up with a Kirby turbo brush, these are excellent for detail cleaning upholstered furniture. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Congratulations!

I have a few of these Royal Powertanks as well-supurb canister vacs.STUPID TTI for no longer building these.Other people besides vacuum fans liked them.

I like that style power nozzle better than the others as well. Congrats! I've always loved the classic look of those though I've never used one. It's fun to get something you've wanted for a while.

My last experience with a Royal power tank was when I was 19 and got the bright idea to sell Kirbys. During the training session, they rolled one that that had been a trade in. They said this was a great demo to do with anyone who had a canister. They removed hose and left the power nozzle wired up. Then instructed someone to put their hand over the end of the wand that was coming up from the power nozzle. They asked if there was any suction. Of course the answer was no. They said, you can't clean without suction, so canisters obviously don't work.... of course the part that sucked was in their other hand. I guess the demo could be repeated with a Kirby that had the attachments hooked up, I wonder what their defense would be then. I remember thinking even back then what a stupid demo that was, and even though the general population was so clueless about vacuums, no on would fall for that craziness.
