Does anyone here know the part number for the model 33 motor bearings. I've got a bad lower bearing and I'd hate to have to replace the entire motor over such a small part.

bearing

it's a 8mm bearing. you can get it at most vacuum shops or a hard ware store. should be under 12.00 just take the old one with you wan you go to get it.

Make sure you seat it properly.
I used a long socket that fit precisely on the inner race(the inner circle that contacts the armature shaft).
be gentle with the fans when you are putting it together.
When I do FQ motor repairs I have a rule,(maybe a little OCD) I check the fans three times before I do my final tightening.

Thanks for the help.

For those who might be interested the actual bearing part number for this motor was 608RS, a very common and affordable part. I replaced them both since the previous owner had been running the machine without the secondary filter installed. There didn't appear to be anything wrong with the upper bearing, but why tempt fate? Early on I had called HESCO inc looking for them. They said they were back ordered and tried to sell me a new motor for $95 instead. When I did find them at a local vacuum cleaner shop, the two of them with tax where just under thirteen; quite a savings. Anyways, it's reassembled and sounds great - ready for another twenty years of service.

Here's the motor just prior to installation all wired up for testing.
