Just today, I received the new Filter Queen. I love it. It is sturdily built and seems to vacuum exceptionally well. But, I just got it, so I cannot tell what it will do once the filter starts to get full/ dirty. Today it was perfect. I even really like the accessories.
I have a Kirby Diamond, but, I am really more a canister type of person.
I originally ordered the Miele C3 Brilliant.
I returned it within 18 hours. It does not have the build quality that I was expecting. I bought the Miele based on numerous reviews and the number 1 rating at Consumer Reports. I read in another thread that the tools were Suzy Homemaker tools and I thought how bad can the tools be, people seem to really, really like this vacuum. I was wrong, the tools are very small. The build quality, even the connections are plastic. Now this is just my opinion, as this vacuum is widely acclaimed by many people. It was just not for me. I knew I or my family would break the hose connection or the tool compartment door. The power head for the Miele was very nice as was the telescoping wand.
I do have an Electrolux Silverado from the 1980’s. Both the Silverado and the Kirby are very well built. I was beginning to think that I might not find a well- built vacuum. But, the Filter Queen exceeded my expectations. And it is beautiful.

The only place it seems to say 90th anniversary is on the power head.
On the canister, it says worldwide edition.

I used it to vacuum the stairs today and it was nice to use. I used the upholstery tool, the crevice tool, and the the dusting brush for the wood around the edges.
The accessories seem to be well made.
Does anyone know where the motor is made for the newer models. It is a 3 wire, 1 stage, 2 speeds. Number

Thank you.

I am really happy with this vacuum and as I am 62, it should be my last vacuum. At least, I hope so.

I thought you all might like to see it. I have been reading this forum for a long time, but, this is my first post.

Congratulations. That's a gorgeous machine.

They are very well made, and do filter the air very well.

My favorite of all my FQ models are my anniversary ones.

The 65th anniversary model is my ultimate favorite.
