Cord Winder and $$$...
I know what you mean about thinking they'd include a cord winder for what FQ's cost. I've been thinking the same thing about TriStars for some time. I don't mean the older, Interstate/Compact machines like the CXL I have- those were designed in a way that prevented the addition of a cord winder. But the new, fully-redesigned MG series is the same way! A $2700 machine (if the salesman gets his full price) and no cord winder! I am happy enough to put up with the lack of one on my CXL- I like its retro look, and the little cord winding bracket they added to the top of the machine in the mid-'80s does help you store the cord with reasonable ease. But there's no way I'd be willing to pay full tick for a new machine in that price range that didn't have a by-grannies, fully automatic, don't-gotta-do-nothin' cord winder.
