Fantastic machines! Do your uprights come with an electric mini powernozzle for the hose? I always thought that was a neat feature.

Dan, Did you purchase the new Guardian Ultra? There was a thread on here a while ago but I cant remember if you said you bought one or not. I'd like to try the new Guardian even thought I really do love the Renaissance body style machines.

That Guardian Upright looks like a fabulous machine and its one that I'd love to have in my collection sometime in the near future. My love of Electrolux Uprights started with my neighbors Discovery II and it was love at first sight! lol I've had several Lux uprights over the years but the newest model has apparently fixed all the flaws of the previous machines, which I imagine must make it one awesome upright vacuum. My next door neighbor, who has been one of my mothers closest friends for nearly my entire life, purchased her Discovery in 1987 or 1988, and even after 20+ years of using the same body style it really is a wonderfully designed, easy to use, and understated upright. The Discovery II was also the first Electrolux Upright that I purchased for my own collection and I regret selling it along with my Epic 3500.

Steven I did

not purchase the New Guardian ultra . I do not like it as I feel it looks very cheap built on the classic body and dressed up a tad it is not worth the money . I will wait till I find a cheap one on ebay .My Aerus dealer said she heard they made a mistake using the classic body and will be changing it for the next model. The legacy now looks like a higher end machine than the Guardian Ultra. All the machines pictured were Brand new. I have owned the uprights all my life starting with the Discovery Advantage and never had any problems and they have all been excellent machines. My mother loves the uprights and uses a commercial one daily.

John thank you , I lost 32 pounds .

Very nice new and recent Luxes! I'll take a pass on Fox News. I really like the Guardian upright. I have the new white one and think it's great. Does the blue one on the right have the same suction motor?

Thanks and yes Patrick

the blue on the right has the same motor as todays Guardian upright .You know I used to think the same thing about fox news I was always listening to others how they always said bad things about them and decided to watch it one day and was shocked that it wasnt what everyone saying about it.I really like Fox business channel.Thats why cable has tons of channels for everyone.

A fine collection of machines. I'm an Electrolux (and therefore, by extension, Aerus) man through and through, although I don't actually have any Aerus branded machines at the moment. I'm always on the lookout for them, though.

Love the Luxes !

Dan
Thanks for getting some of them out of storage and taking pictures of them. You will be glad you did, in spite of the work.
They are awesome !!
Norm

Thanks Norm ,

Only 2 were stored the rest I rotate and use often . My most used is the Aerus guardian Blue upright . Besides using my Kirby, Rainbow E2 onyx and Orecks I really love the Aerus line. I just love the power , quality and most of all the bag change is the best of all vacuums .

Dan,
I hope that Aerus goes back to the Renaissance style body and Im glad they realize that the body style of the Guardian Ultra is a mistake. Ever since the Guardian Ultra came out not only was I disapponted with Aerus, but I could possibly imagine how they could convince someone to shell out close to $2000 for a machine that looks the same as their Classic machine and to me looks inferior to the Legacy canister. Cost cutting is probably the reason for the re-worked HiTech-2100 body style along with eliminating the hose handle controls, which makes it look more like a middle of the line machine. How many more ways can the possibly re-work the HiTech/Diplomat body? Its been around for more than 20 years now and they need to come up with something better. I cant see how the new motor and integrated HEPA filter can really seal the deal on the Guardian Ultra when compared with the other machines that Lux has to offer. Im keeping my fingers crossed that Aerus redesigns the Guardian soon and brings back the R-style body along with the return of new and improved hose handle controls. The sliding switch style Guardian/Epic 8000 hose was nice and more reliable, but the push button control pad like the Renaissance had really looked much more advanced look.

The Discovery style uprights really are fabulous machines and they really can stand up to hard use. We have always used a ProLux where I work, the entire chain uses them and they certainly get used and abused by the employees. I know that the quality of Lux machines is not the same as it was 20+ years ago but these newer machines still have a lot of life built into them and still hold up very well!
