Hey everyone, recently I have been more interested in certain vacuums. I have been searching for Fantoms, Hoover Elite style machines and Orecks. As my search continues, I thought I would share what my thoughts were about all this. Now, I was on ebay last night and found a decent looking Fantom Fury, I really wanted it but I know that the price is way to high. It was ninety dollars! I know that I can get one much cheaper than that.
Also I notices that prices in Orecks spiked. About a year ago, Oreck prices seemed to be dirt cheap. Now they are selling in the hundreds. Rarely do I find any that aren't. Now, the Orecks that I do find in the hundred are more of the 2007 ish models, which are my favorite. I really wanna extend my oreck collection even more but with these prices I really can't.
I'm also encountering similar problems with my search for Hoover Elite style machines. When I search on eBay, there really aren't any machines for sale. Just many many parts. When I was younger, I had a huge collection mainly consisting of elites. Then one sad day, I was forced to throw them out. I regret it sometimes.
If anyone has any of the machines above, I would be interested in purchasing them for fifty dollars or less with shipping. I know that seems ridiculous but that's all I can afford right now. Also, the machines don't have to be in working order, in fact they can be missing some parts. As I can fix them. There's only one requirement that has to be met, which is that they have to be listed on eBay or I cannot purchase them.
I hope im not being too pesky asking for some help with my collecting. Also I am including the link to the Fantom Fury on eBay and I'm including some pictures of what I may be looking for. Thank you for all the help. I look up to some of you collectors for having all these large collections with all the machines that I DREAM of having. I know it's about quality not quantity but I can't help but wonder....
Thanks again,
Tyler.
*please note that none of these photos are mine, I got them off of google images, they are just references of what I am looking for*
Also I am curious to what you guys and girls look for when you are on Craiglist, eBay, garage sales, etc. I mainly just look for anything vacuum relates. I never really fund anything in my town though. Also what is your biggest vacuum find?
