Does anyone have a Fantom Wildcat because I remember seeing a NIB one at a thirift store but I didnt take it because I wasent knowlegable of it. So, anyone have pics?

Hey Man

if I were you I would go back to the thrift store and get the vac ( if its cheap of course ) the wildcat was the worst vac fantom ever made however I have a vision that they will become very collectable in the near future. I think the story behind them was that fantom decided they didnt want to pay james dyson so they could use his design so the offspring was a frankly terrible disposable dirt container!

So to get one thats N.I.B. would be wise as it will be worth a pretty penny in the future.

Hope it helps, oh and sorry for the loss of picture!

Fantom Wildcat

Hi, I used to have a Fantom Wildcat. it was a burnt orange one. I like it a lot. It cleaned good. Loved the tools. and the suction was great. I got it a few years ago at a Boscovs $50.00 I like that it had a switch that would turn the brush off and that it didnt take a belt. From what I remember it was a motorized brush. All in all a good vac. however the plastic was not that great. the Part that held the hose in snapped off a few months after I got it and then the handle snapped off. So I ended up getting rid of it. If those 2 things would have not gone wrong I would of kept it. Good Luck on finding one!!

wernt they later sold as a *westinghouse* and also cordless? i have an old consumer report buying guide that did not have god things to say about it, bottom of the ratings.

the westys show up on ebay NIB from time to time.

its not the mag but the end of the year buying guide. main rating is for visible dust leakage at the filter ! ! !

they werent around very long, then showed up as the westy.
