I'm never sure where to post this type of pos, but I was wondering if anyone has a Kenmore Destiny or Fantom Lightning to trade or sell? I would really appreciate it if someone would reply. Thanks!
I were you I'd just check Ebay and CraigsList regularly. Most of the people on here that would have one will either be collectors that won't want to get rid of the machine, or the machine will be incomplete or in horrid shape. Oh and a tip for Ebay look for the Destiny and only search for "Kenmore Destiny" when looking less people know/think to check for one thus you get less crazy fanatics bidding. Most people also don't know what they have thus they list them way less than the Lightning. A perfect example is what was just on Ebay. A Lightning for $50 plus about $20 shipping covered in about 2 inches of dust, cord rewind doesn't work, and it comes with nothing not even a hose. Then there is a Destiny 3000 it has some light scratches and scuffs from normal use, a hose, and the cord winder works. The Destiny is only $9.95 plus $21 something shipping total came out to $31 and some change.
Zach, would you buy a Destiny or a Lightning due to your love in Fantom and Kenmore products? I know your Fury and Thunder are in dire need for new belts and agitators.
I would love to use eBay but at the moment can't because I have no credit card. (Fantomvacuumfan could fill you in) and I've actually begged him to get the Destiny for me becasue I obviously really want it but he said no because I have no money at the moment. I really hope someone doesn't bid on it from now until about Wednesday of next week so I can get some money and beg him again!
I'm actually talking about the Destiny 3000 which is a Kenmore version of the Fantom Lightning canister. Also, I saw that someone bid on the Kenmore Destiny canister on eBay..... wah.
Wait till you get a complete unit other wise your going to pay probably over $100 to get a canister and what goes with it separately. Its totally not worth it or cost effective just have patience and it'll work out. And I have to apologize I'm the one that picked up the Destiny that was on Ebay mainly as a parts machine just in case for the Lightning I have.
I have a ton of good things that I own (Dyson, Apple, Dell, Sony products) it's just that I doubt that ANYONE would actually buy a Lightning that has a broken cordwinder for 500 dollars. Also, you still didn't attach a picture of it, thus, I can't believe that you own it anyways.
If you actually wanna sell the thing and get anywhere near $500 for it I'd suggest you post a pic. Saying things like "I'll post it when I feel like it" doesn't exactly get a machine sold... It also conveys that you're not a dependable person to do business with because if you were to ship the machine "When I feel like it" that could be years down the road.
yeah, I mean he never uploaded a picture, and he created his profile after I added my thread. I mean until he sends a picture or something, I wont believe him at all...
