Hey guys I got my first Fantom today. It is a Fantom Fury Limited Edition. I need some help with it though. I am wanting to take apart the cyclone assembly to get it cleaned and I have no idea how to get it apart. I have the four screws in the back near the top of the main body removed, but there is still one more screw and I have no idea how to access it. Any help on how to disassemble the cyclone assembly would be greatly appreciated as this is my first Fantom and I would really like to have it in working order.

Sorry I don't have any pics. I don't have a way to upload them onto my computer.

I have tried looking at them the only diagram I can find is for the regular Fury. On the Limited Edition the hose does not release the same way as the original Fury. On the regular Fury you push on the hose like you would an early Dyson model. On the limited edition you push down a lever in the back. On the original Fury after you release the hose it reveals the fourth screw. On the limited edition it only reveals four and there is one still somewhere holding the cyclone assembly on. I hope this makes sense.

I haven't worked on one of these for a while, but as I recall that central cone is pressed in there at the factory, a kind of snap fit. They can be difficult to get apart intact. My advice is to clean it with water the best you can, let it thoroughly dry, and leave it alone.

I will try to remember to look at my LE and get back with you tomorrow. I remember having to do this before.

Thanks. I would appreciate any help that you may have. It is killing me not being able to use it as the suction power is not the best, and yes I have checked that there is no missing seals.

There is a plastic tab...

That slides into the body, CAREFULLY *If it breaks, it cant be fixed* use a flat head screw driver to push that tab in and CAREFULLY pull the handle up, it should slide out, and I think you will be able to access the final screw.
