Hello All,

This is only my second post, and had great friendly advice and connections for my Royal 5000.
The fan on my Kirby Heritage II shattered right off the spindle. She's my daily driver and my apartment is starting to get nasty; I'm in a tizzy. Can anyone recommend a repair shop or replace it for me. Of course I'll pay for shipping, parts, labor. I just don't trust some of the big repair shops on Chicago's North Side, as they may find other "faults" and charge me an arm and a behind. During my research I think the Kevlar fans are more sturdy than the Lexan ones; correct? Thought about ordering a fan and attempting myself, but i'm afraid of frozen/stripped screws and wires and would probably do more damage than good.

Thanks again for your comradship and expertise.

Call up Kirby (1-800-494-8586) and they'll help you find a place to repair it. The people there are very nice and care about their product. I don't really trust myself with other people's vacuums, so I wouldn't feel right repairing it for you.

Until you have it fixed, use a vintage Hoover or Eureka until Ms. Heritage the 2ed ;) is out of the hospital.

I would sugest a metal fan also,
But they are rather had to get a hold of and
If you suck up anything Hard or a coin Or something of that nature
Say goodbye.
