Fake Dyson!

Well spotted! I kinda wanna play with one of these due to their looks, would be cool I guess but not paying £30, outrageous! Maybe £10 max

It does look like a Dyson - the outer cone cover is the dead give away despite the sticker on the handle. However, what is that hose all about? It could well be a copy after all,but unlike the photo Citroen BX has supplied though. Here's the photo in question.

It looks like a Dyson, but not really in our eyes.
A genuine, modern Dyson has the following;
A red on/off switch.
No variable power
The park feature sticks out and a bit up. This one is like a Vax or Morphy Richards.
The cyclones have these channels which look like little tubes inside the cyclone assembly which lead to the exit of the cyclone. This one doesn't.
The bottoms and all the catches etc don't match the cyclone. The are on all machines. Nothing is made to match the cyclone on these anymore apart from on a red Dyson or the DC42 mk2
With this fake, the orange cyclone unit is shaped to correctly fit on to the main unit of the vacuum. Dyson cylinders don't. Look at the DC39 or DC19 for example. Even the DC05

Wow, that's cheeky. If I blur my vision or was to see it in the corner of my eye, it would looks EXACTLY like a genuine Dyson box

I kind of want a cheap used one of these to see if it's the same as something like a Chinese Argos value vacuum or an Asda/tesco/morrisons vacuum :P Quality would probably be the same, but the vacuum will look good though atleast!

Yeh the box lacks the Dyson finesse, the picture isn't quite shiny and polished. The description is laughable, 'Double cyclone technology', practically used in Dysons over 20 years ago!

Under the tiewrap, I swear it says Always remodelled to maximise suction power
Typical Chinese counterfeiting, if things don't make sense!

They still make this ugly little pig by the way. Maybe not the same company, but the same mold.

For whatever reason - it is sold without tools and a hose.

"it is sold without tools and a hose."

I wonder if the reason for that is maybe they're being pitched to corporate customers rather than the end consumer.

For example, a supermarket chain looking for a cheap own-brand vacuum, might ask the manufacturer to produce that machine, but with a different tool set, cheaper floor head, etc.
