Fairfax Electro-matic shampoo attachment kit?

I bought a Fairfax at a thrift store the other day and it's in the shop waiting to be picked up (so I haven't yet used it. It only has the main rotator nozzle attachment, but inside it does have the float assembly so it looks like its capable of water vacuuming as well.

I noticed an ad on Craigslist today for a new in box Electromatic shampoo attachment kit.

My question is how well do these work? Is it something worth having (especially because we have pets and kids who make messes)?

They work just fine, but you have to hook it up to the faucet which is very inconvenient.
