I found 1 of my 2 most wanted sweepers! A little dirt devil broom vac, blue none the less! It was only $15 and came with a pack of bags. The other day I was going around shopping for sweepers, and I found a dirt devil cruiser, which is one I've been wanting. I got to looking at it, and it was in fairly bad shape, so I let it be amd I was kinda upset. A couple places later, there is the broom vac! That more than made up for the unfortunate cruiser. That last on my top 2 to find lis is a Kirby Legend 2, can't wait to find one of those too :). I also found another little dirt devil hand vac like the one I founda while back, but this one is a 2 speed and came with the bag adapter and bags for only $6. Last find (I know this one is a modern one but still) I got my wife a Dirt devil "clasic" hand vac. She really liked the look of it and it matched her kitchenaid appliances so I went ahead and got it. I don't have a picture of it right now, but I'll post one if anyone would like. So many dirt devils!

If you're interested, I've got an almost complete tool set for this machine—hose, two wands. upholstery brush, dusting brush and crevice tool, all in the original box and I think there's even an instruction sheet with it. The only thing missing is the no belt changing tool, but a big, flat-bladed screwdriver works just as well for that task.

I will keep you in mind! Do you know if the blue ones are less common than the red ones?

Congratulations on your find!

I don't know if the blue is more "Rare", but it is a different line. The blue machines were technically not considered Dirt Devil, note how it does not state Dirt Devil on the machine. They were known as the Royal Pro Series, and were sold through vacuum shops, versus Walmart, and K-Mart and such. There was also a blue Pro Series Can vac, with power Nozzle, and a Pro Series Classic direct air, hard body upright. I remember those well from my "younger days" lol...

Hope this helps!

I have one of those…

…but in red. Same machine nonetheless. It's really nice to have. The handle is adjustable; if you lower it down all the way you can easily use it on stairs. I also have a matching hand vac (model 103).

I should have taken a picture, but the side of it does actually say dirt devil

Good for you.  I've found the blue ones are more rare than the red.  I'd say the red out-number the blue 4 to 1.  I too am a fan of certain Royal products and have 3 at the moment.

It's cool man :). I have noticed the red ones have dirt devil plastered right on the front, which makes me wonder why they didn't with the blue ones, oh well. And thanks delaneymeegan, I've been developing this little liking of old dirt devils, and are wanting to get into Royals.

As for dirt devils, I mainly like their hand vacs. Royal wise, I really want to try their uprights, their more classic styled ones (the ones with a similar-esque style to like say a kirby). Forgive me, I'm not familiar with Royal model names.
