Let's get the ball rolling, shall we?

Well, I found a Henry, on eBay that was one of the early day models (the ones where users had to apply the stickers - hence the often surprised or drunk looking expressions). Well, this one, is rather an interesting and original idea... (See Image Below!)

Well, this is also a little story from a long while ago (2001, to be exact). I love our Henry we used in our house (2000 Model). We went on holiday and I came across in our caravan's cleaning cupboard, a 1989 HVR200-A (It was of the age when people fitted the faces incorrectly and this one looked drunk!). I couldn't wait to have a go with it, but unbeknown to me at the time, but, the Paper Bag was full (they don't empty the bags until they almost burst!). I started vacuuming the sand, grit and other bits and bobs off the floor. Suddenly, the bag exploded! Dust flew out the exhaust, the tube, and sent the motor housing flying. It was a scary incident, but, the facial expression did match the Dirty Explosion very well!

Post Your Numatic News, or Experiences Below...

All I have to say is - Gotta love Numatics!

Here is my 2007 Henry HVR200-22. He's a good old chap, takes whatever I throw at him.

Here is a picture after I gave him a good clean and polish a while back.

It defies all questioning as to what you were vacuuming up in order to send the motor head flying. I have seen a good deal of burst dust bags in all manner of cleaners over the decades, but for one to explode you would need to have collected something flammable. These Numatic cleaners have been designed to be used without a dust bag, so a full bag which bursts open should not present a problem if the main filter is in place. The suction from the motor itself is more than enough to keep the top of the cleaner attached to the bottom.

I know, even to this day, I still wonder about it. But, I don't recall vacuuming anything flammable, only some sand, stones, etc.

Also, the filter was there, perhaps the reason why the motor housing blew off was some dust or something went into the motor in the bag explosion, and ignigted and blew Henry's hat off!lol

When the dusty explosion happened, it was the end of Henry, we put it back together, and cleared up the mess, but he didn't turn on, he didn't do anything, so, it'd killed him!:/

And his dust will always be on your hands Jason, you remember that...

They should bring back hanging for offenses such as killing a Numatic.

It was a terrible day, when my old friend Henry bit the dust, literally!

Oi, watch it, you!;)
I'd have been hung many times, I have accidentally killed several, such as last year, he fell out of the back of my van onto the roadway... He died!:/

I love Numatics dearly, it's just they don't like me much, lol!

Little off topic..

Oh, by the way, Jamie. If you have Windows Live, please do add me! Thanks!:)

Now, back to topic!:)

"I love Numatics dearly, it's just they don't like me much, lol!" I know the feeling, not with Numatics, but with other appliances. Some just won't work...

I've added you on MSN (Windows Live is too modern for my old Windows 2000 PC!) by the way.

I absolutely love Numatics. Reasonably price, high performing and reliable. AND made in Britain. What could you ask for?

Jason, I'd added you to Windows Live, hope you don't mind.

Chris

"I absolutely love Numatics. Reasonably price, high performing and reliable. AND made in Britain. What could you ask for?" Very true. As I said before, I feel proud using my Numatic to know it was made in Great Britain!

Thanks for the requests, guys!:)
And Windows 2000? Didn't think that was used anymore!:S
You need Windows 7, mate!;)

So, England haven't given us great things, like the Rover, British Layland, you get the picture. But, we made some amazing things, the Mini, Aston Martin and Numatic!:)

"And Windows 2000? Didn't think that was used anymore!:S
You need Windows 7, mate!;)" Hey, it is the best Microsoft system there is.

I refuse to upgrade. Been using it for years now.

The day I use a modern Operating System is the day I need to ask the doctors for more medication.

Would you mind sharing the other Henry "incidents"?
And by the way,There's nothing wrong with with windows 2000,Heck,I still use my Windows 98 PC :P

Anyways,I do not have a Henry,But they seem Basic,Simple,And well built.Well,Besides them exploding and being hit by buses in scaniabe's cause :P
They seem like a shop-vac,I have seen the insides of one,And it's wonderful.Seems pretty idiot proof to me :)

-Alex.

That's why I love them, because they're idiot proof!:P

You see, I mock because I am using Windows Consumer Preview and Mac OSX Lion!:)

"That's why I love them, because they're idiot proof!:P" And yet you managed to kill one ? What does that say about you!? Ha ha ha!
